There have been many new changes around the Central Islip-Islandia Community, New Planters and Trash receptacles on every corner, regular cleaning of the streets, Welcome Banners along the Roadway on Telephone poles, graffiti removed, Holiday decorations and The Welcome to Central Islip corner stone waterfall and the Beautiful Antique Designer Clock on Carlton Ave… The Duck Run 5k its 8th Year to name a few. Signaling the collective efforts of Chamber members to make Central Islip-Islandia a Great Place to shop, visit and Live.
Central Islip–Islandia community leaders and organizations are working hard to bring a New Excitement, New business and More Consumer activity to Central Islip and Your business. Positive Change Begins with us!
With full head of steam from the accomplishments over the last year, we are very happy to announce the 2008 Central Islip-Islandia Annual Street Festival, to be held August 16, 2008. 11am – 6:30pm. Select activities in certain areas may extend in to 8pm hour. (Carlton Avenue. Just North of Ducks Stadium)
Why are we planning this street festival? We the Central Islip Chamber of Commerce is working to highlight and show off your business to the people of Central Islip - Islandia and the surrounding towns and communities. The Chamber has totally focused efforts to bring more shoppers, creating more revenue for your business. The Central Islip Chamber Of Commerce function is to grow your business through promotion of our Great Town & Community.
“We all know it takes A Village!” The Central Islip-Islandia Chamber of Commerce has a Fundraising Goal from this annual event to in an attempt toraise $20,000 dollars for Scholarships for Students of Central Islip High School.

The Street Festival will be FREE to the public, we expect 35,000+ people to walk the Street Fair and attend it’s great activities. It is possible attendence could double as our media partners have deliverd recently 250,000 people at a fall festival just 10 miles away. • Car show – 150- 200 cars on display
